Institute of Language, Communication and the Brain Bringing together experts in linguistics, neuroscience, psychology, medicine and computer science to understand and to model how language functions.

Dear members of the ILCB,

I have taken up my duties as the director of the ILCB accompanied by a team of assistant directors made up of six people: F.-Xavier Alario (LPC), Mireille Besson (LNC), Abdellah Fourtassi (LIS), Noël Nguyen (LPL), Elin Runnqvist (LPL), and Agnès Trebuchon (INS).

The main challenge for the next three months is the preparation of the GoNoGo evaluation. Our plan was to organize a scientific retreat between May 10-12 to work on this all together. Due the sanitary conditions, the retreat had to be postponed, but the GoNoGo deadline does not change. We will contact you very shortly with details regarding the discussions for thinking about what we have achieved together and where we want to go for the years to come. I count on you for that!

Please send us any publications or projects that illustrate the fabulous interdisciplinary ILCB adventure. We have created an email address to facilitate sharing these elements ilcb-communication@univ-amu.fr.

Below, you will find a face-lifted version of our newsletter, which contains new sections, such as scientific portraits, featured publications, citations and much more. Feel free to send us any news or events that you would like to share via the above address!

I am looking forward to working with all of you and hopefully seeing you soon.

Johannes Ziegler
