Dear members of the ILCB community,

I hope you had a relaxing summer and that you are happy to be back. As every year we started the new academic year with our ILCB summer school, which hosted more than 120 people from all over the world including our new MASCO students and many ILCB members. 

The summer school was a real success with excellent courses, keynote talks by Robert French (University of Burgundy) and Fenna Poliatek (new ILCB-IMERA chair) and a social event with the music of Jean-Luc Anton’s Mudanza fanfare. Many thanks to the organizers, especially Nadera Bureau and Sabrina Rodrigues.

For those of you who missed the summer school, there is another chance to catch up with the ILCB crowd. On Friday 22nd of September, we organise the ILCB garden party to welcome our new members (9 docs, 4 postdocs, 3 permanent members), to thank those who are leaving, and to celebrate our two CNRS medal winners. The event will start at 11am with a short presentation of the new member followed by a talk of one of them, Claire Kabdebon.

You will find numerous other events, some of which require a registration, listed below.

The ILCB community will gather to welcome its many incoming members on

Friday 22nd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

at Laboratoire Parole et Langage.

There will be talks, short and long, and lunch will be served on the premisses. Claire Kapdebon (CNRS) will give a keynote on "The Origins of Human Cognition: Insights from the Infant Brain."

Registration is free and mandatory for ILCB members.
