Philippe Albouy

Dr. Philippe Albouy has just been awarded the 2025 IMERA/ILCB chair, starting next September. Philippe Albouy is an associate professor at the psychology department of Laval University (Québec city, Canada), regular researcher at CERVO Brain Research Centre, CHU de Québec research Center (Quebec city, Canada), BRAMS (Montreal, Canada) and is a FRQ-S Junior 2 Scholar (chair equivalent). In 2022, he has been recognized as a Future Leader in Canadian Brain Research by the Brain Canada Foundation. Philippe Albouy’s research explores the causal links between the dynamics of neural activity and human cognitive functions. Most recently, he has implemented with his collaborators a state-of-art Stereo-Electroencephalography (SEEG) program at Hôpital Enfant Jésus de Québec to study the neurophysiology of epilepsy and cognition.
