Mia Steffen began her PhD in cognitive science at Laboratoire Parole et Langage (LPL) in September 2026. Mia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Université Lumière Lyon 2 and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Science from Aix-Marseille University. Her doctoral research is part of the ERC-funded Language in the Dyad (LaDy) project under the supervision of Dr. Kristof Strijkers (LPL). The project investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying human language interaction. More specifically, her research explores whether predictive processing may drive both linguistic and neural alignment during naturalistic conversation.
